THE GENZ CULTURE SHOCK

The GenZ values of inclusivity, diversity, and social justice are undeniably admirable and worthy of emulation. Their commitment to creating a more equitable and compassionate society is a beacon of hope for a brighter future.

On the other hand, blindly emulating Gen Z culture can be problematic. Each generation has its unique experiences, perspectives, and cultural context that shape their values and beliefs. Simply adopting Gen Z's culture without understanding its underlying nuances and complexities can lead to cultural appropriation and superficiality.

Moreover, older generations have their own distinct cultural identities and values that are worth preserving and passing down. A wholesale adoption of Gen Z culture would risk erasing the rich cultural heritage of previous generations.

Instead of emulation, a more productive approach would be cross-generational learning and exchange. By engaging in open and respectful dialogue, different generations can share their perspectives, values, and experiences, leading to a deeper understanding and appreciation of each other's cultures.
